Our mission is to improve the lives of animals in underserved communities, particularly those in Rio Arriba County, northern Santa Fe County, and any adjacent pueblos. Over time, we have reduced the number of homeless dogs and cats through free spay/neuter, and in 2022 we will perform 6,500 free surgeries.

Turquoise Trail Vet provides walk-in care to sick cats and dogs who need urgent help, but aren’t suffering from immediately life-threatening conditions. Since we’re geared specifically for these patients, we can treat them more efficiently than a general practice and more cost-effectively than an ER.
